Stamp duty: Stamp duty of 2.5% may apply

1.0 PROTECTION
All campervans have Registration Third Party Insurance that covers the hirer for third party property damage that may be incurred. Personal injury coverage is dictated by each state throughout Australia and hirers are strongly advised to take our Personal Travel Insurance to cover this.

2.0 INSURANCE OPTIONS
2.1 Basic Insurance Cover
Campervans are insured for the damage to the vehicle or to the property of a Third Party. The hirer is responsible for the first AU$ 7500 ('the excess') including single vehicle accident, windscreens and tyres and any other damage and off road rental costs (as a result of accident or damage). The excess applies in respect of each claim.

2.2 Excess Reduction Option One (ERO1) cost per day: AU$20; Excess: AU$ 2500

2.3 Excess Reduction Option Two (ERO2) cost per day: AU$38; Excess: AU$ 220


Note: Excess Reduction Option 2 is included in the Britz Bonus Pack.

2.4 No Worries Cover
This option made available at the depot at vehicle pick up time.
Hirers who purchase option 2 can also take out the "No Worries Cover" option, for a one off flat fee of AU$50. This option covers you for overbody and underbody damage. No Worries Cover is included in the Maui Premium Package.

2.5 Tyre and Windscreen Damage
Where the hirer has chosen an excess reduction option, up to one windscreen and two tyres will be covered for accidental damage. Should these amounts be exceeded the cost to repair or replace the items will not be covered and will be the responsibility of the hirer.

2.6 Britz Bonus Pack
The Britz Bonus Pack component of AU$53 per day (maximum AU$2650 per rental) is payable in addition to the daily rental rate.
Inclusions are:
Excess Reduction Option 2 (Nil excess), No Worries Cover, 2.5% Stamp Duty, Personal Kits, Extra Driver Fees, PGO (Pre-purchase gas option), 1 x Table, and Chairs (chairs per person travelling), 1 x Child or Booster seat (must be pre-booked)

2.7 Exclusions
Exclusions include water damage, personal belongings, inappropriate misconduct, driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, use of incorrect fuel, retrieval cost after getting bogged down, lost keys.

3.0 VEHICLE SECURITY DEPOSIT (VSD)
On pick-up of the motorhome hirers must provide a deposit. This deposit can be made by cash, travellers cheques in AU$, or credit card. If payment is by cash then a cash qualification process will apply which includes additional personal identification. Credit card holders should ensure they have sufficient credit.

3.1 VSD with Basic Insurance Cover
With only Basic Insurance Cover the VSD is AU$ 7500

3.2 VSD with Excess Reduction Option One
With ERO1 the VSD is AU$ 2500

3.3 VSD with Excess Reduction Option Two
With ERO2 the VSD is AU$ 220

4.0 RENTAL
4.1 Minimum Rental
The minimum rental period is five days but may be subject to change during peak periods.

4.2 Rental Calculation
The cost of rental is calculated as the day of collection being day one and the day of return being the final day.

4.3 Overlapping Tariffs
Where tariffs overlap, the rate for the appropriate days will be applied.

4.4 Longer Rentals
Special rates are available for hires of over 50 days -- prices on application.

4.5 Late Pick-ups and Early Returns
No refunds can be given for late pick-ups or early returns.

4.6 Late Returns
Subject to approval, a fee of AU$150 is applicable and the customer will be required to pay an extra days Excess Reduction Premium (based on the Excess Reduction option chosen).

5.0 ONE-WAY RENTALS
Available between all Britz Australian depots except between Tasmania and the mainland.

5.1 One-Way Fees
A one-way rental fee of AU$220 is charged to/from Adelaide, Brisbane, Cairns, Melbourne, Sydney NT (Alice Springs, Darwin) and WA (Perth, Broome). In the case of Broome a surcharge may be applicable.

6.0 MULTIPLE RENTALS
Hirers who book more than one rental period within any three month period may qualify for a longer rate discount. Rental in Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. Britz and Maui rentals can be combined.

7.0 TASMANIA AND BROOME RENTALS
7.1 Tasmania
Because of a limited vehicle range in Tasmania. BRITZ reserves the right to substitute an alternative vehicle without prior notification and at no extra cost.

7.2 Broome (WA)
Because of its location an additional remote location fee of AU$450 applies to rentals picking up or dropping off in Broome. This is in addition to the one-way fee if applicable.

8.0 DRIVING & PARKING VIOLATIONS
The Company reserves the right to make credit card deductions for toll, driving and parking infringements.

9.0 DRIVING LICENCES
9.1 Licence
A full (non probationary) resident country drivers license must be presented at time of rental. If license is not in English format, an international drivers license is also required.

9.2 Age Restrictions
Drivers must be 21 years of age or over. Drivers over the age of 75 must have a medical certificate stating that they are fit to drive.

10.0 DESTINATION CHANGES & RENTAL EXTENSIONS
10.1 Drop-Off Destination Change
If the hirer after the start of the rental the hirer wishes to change the drop-off destination it must be authorised by the destination depot and a charge of up to AU$ 700 may be applicable.

10.2 Rental Extensions
If the hirer wishes to extend the rental whilst on hire, authorisation must first be obtained from the destination branch. The cost of must be paid by credit card over the telephone on confirmation of the rental extension. Subject to availability.

11.0 ROAD RESTRICTIONS
Campervans may only be driven on sealed/ bitumen roads other than access roads to recognised campsites.

11.3 Britz reserves the right to restrict campervan movements in certain adverse weather conditions or if it is considered that the distances to nominated destinations are unreasonable in the timescale of the hire.

12.0 CHANGE OF VEHICLE
If though unavoidable circumstances, the booked vehicle not be available, the Company reserves the right to substitute an alternative vehicle.

13.0 CANCELLATION FEES

14.0 TAXES
A charge of 2.5% of the total cost will be levied to cover state government taxes, duties and associated cost (stamp duty). This is payable upon collection of the vehicle. Note stamp duty does not apply to rentals collecting in Brisbane, Cairns, Broome or Perth.

Note: This charge is included in the Inclusive component.

15.0 ANIMALS
Except for guide dogs animals are not permitted in any Britz campervans.

16.0 LIVING EQUIPMENT
The Living Equipment (crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils, linen, sleeping bags, pillows and towels) for all Motorhomes is included in the daily rental rate.

Britz reserves the right to refuse any rental at its discretion.
