OUTLINE OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS

RENTAL CHARGES
When calculating the number of days a vehicle is rented, the day of pick up is counted as day one of the rental, regardless of pick up time. The day of the vehicle’s return is counted as the final day of the rental. When a rental moves from one rate season to the next, the calculation is based on both rates.

RENTAL DURATION & KILOMETRES
Minimum rental for all vehicles is 7 days.

Rentals are based on unlimited kilometres.

BRANCH HOURS FOR PICK-UP AND DROP-OFF:
Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Cairns, Darwin and Perth.
Monday to Friday – 9.00am to 4.00pm
Weekends, Public Holidays by prior arrangement.

LICENCE MINIMUM/MAXIMUM AGE
A valid Driver's Licence from your Country of Origin or Residence, or an International Licence is acceptable. The minimum age is 25 years. The maximum age is 75 years. Arrangements can be made for drivers aged between 21 and 24 and drivers over 75 under special circumstances, subject to additional insurance charges.

INSURANCE
Insurance is a mandatory charge that provides comprehensive cover.

Both CDW Protection Package and (MPP) Maximum Protection Package DO NOT COVER any type of water damage, ie: vehicle immersion or salt water damage.

Around Australia Motorhomes reserves the right to restrict vehicle movements and insurance level availability in certain areas due to adverse road or weather conditions.


PROTECTION PACKAGES AVAILABLE:
Is additional to all prices quoted. Choice of Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) or (MPP) Maximum Protection Package.

CDW PROTECTION:
PREMIUM (per day) $26, BOND (payable on vehicle collection) $2,000, Total Liability $2,000, Windscreen & Tyres Protection not included, Liability for Animal Damage $2,000

MPP PROTECTION:
PREMIUM (per day) $39, BOND (payable on vehicle collection) $450, Total Liability $450, maximum of 1 windscreen & 2 tyres, Liability for Animal Damage $450

CDW Protection Package: does not include overhead damage, underbody damage, windscreen or tyres.

MPP Protection Package: does cover overhead damage, underbody damage, a maximum of 1 windscreen replacement and a maximum of 2 tyre replacements.


All Damage Cover is forfeited if:
- the terms and conditions of the rental contract are breached - the hirer is then responsible for the total costs of any damage.
- the vehicle is submersed in or damaged by water or salt water
- driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and on restricted roads
- willful damage such as standing or sitting on the vehicle's roof or bonnet is strictly prohibited and is at the hirers cost.
- the hirer is responsible for any recovery costs that may occur if the vehicle becomes bogged or stranded caused by driver error regardless of the insurance excess / level of cover.

These payments cover one accident only - in the event of an accident the bond or additional insurance payment will be collected again for the balance of the rental days. The loss or theft of personal belongings or damage sustained to the vehicle's interior fittings or equipment are not covered (except in the case of collision damage)


BOND DEPOSIT
A deposit is required for all vehicles at time of pick up. On return of the vehicle, provided no accident or damage has occurred, the vehicle is completely clean with fuel and gas tanks full, then the deposit will be returned to the renter. Payments made via credit card.

MINIMUM HIRE/ONE WAY HIRE
Minimum rental is 7 days.
CHANGE OF VEHICLE
We reserve the right to substitute a comparable or superior vehicle at no extra cost in extreme circumstances. This shall not constitute a breach of contract and does not entitle the renter to any refund whatsoever.

CLEANING FEE
From $80 to $120 if the vehicle is not returned in reasonable condition to the manager’s discretion. The vehicle must be returned with the toilet emptied, otherwise a cleaning fee of $100.00 will be charged. Smoking is not permitted in any of AAM vehicle, penalites will apply. Pets are not allowed.

REFUNDS
There are no refunds for vehicles returned earlier than the agreed term on the rental contract.

DESTINATION / ROAD RESTRICTIONS
Vehicles may be driven in all states; however, restrictions apply depending on road types and standards. All vehicles can only be driven on recognised roads, ie roads shown on maps.

Campervans and motorhomes ARE RESTRICTED TO BITUMEN ROADS ONLY.

All insurance and refundable money is waived if the above restrictions are breached. Any damage and/or recovery costs are the customer’s responsibility.

REPAIRS
All repairs / tyre replacements must be authorised by Around Australia Motorhomes prior to any repair work proceeding. Around Australia Motorhomes will reimburse you for expenses incurred in rectifying any authorised problems on presentation of the relevant receipts. NB: Defective parts or damaged tyres must be returned to our office for inspection. We will not accept responsibility for hotel or motel charges, meals or out of pocket expenses – in the case of breakdown, liability will be limited to the refund of hire charges for any days lost.

SERVICE
All vehicles are covered by a national emergency roadside breakdown service.

TRAFFIC INFRINGEMENTS
We reserve the right to charge the renter for any speeding or parking fines and/or accidents not reported on return of the vehicle. ($55 admin fee will apply per fine.)

PRICES
All prices are quoted in Australian dollars and include GST and stamp duty.

ADDITIONAL COSTS
One Way Fee applies to one way rentals
Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane & Cairns = $275
Adelaide = $365
Darwin = $600
ie. One Way Darwin to Sydney would have a one way fee of $600
